How Does NSI® Grape Seed Extract with Resveratrol work?
Grape seeds, from red grapes, are a natural source of protective compounds known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins or "OPCs." OPCs are bioflavonoid complexes that function as powerful antioxidants, working to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals.
Free radicals are unstable molecules, generated by normal body processes such as breathing, digestion and exercise, but also from exposure to pollution, UV radiation and other harmful substances in the environment. Free radicals are unstable because they're missing an electron. In order to replace the missing electron, they "attack" healthy cells, causing damage to membranes, mitochondria and DNA.
Free radical damage is believed to contribute to a variety of health complications, including cardiovascular and immune issues. It's also believed to play a part in the aging process.

The resveratrol in this formula is derived from high-quality knotweed extract (Polygonum cuspidatum) standardized to 50% resveratrol.
